We supply and install exceptional quality staircases and balustrade systems for residential building projects across Australia. Our modern head office facility and purpose-built manufacturing plant are based at Lionsgate Business Park in South Australia, with operational support offices located in Sydney and Melbourne.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Scheduling Assistant to join our fun and vibrant team, based in our Head Office at Lionsgate Business Park, Elizabeth South, South Australia. This is a full-time position with flexible hours. 

 

About the Role: 

Reporting to the Group Products & Services Manager, and working as part of the Operations team, this position is responsible for providing support to the operation team in managing the daily schedule for our installations team. Full training and support will be provided to ensure you achieve success with each step you take on your career journey with STAIRLOCK.  

What you can expect in this role: 

  • Communicate with internal (operations, sales and production teams) and external (customer and builders) stakeholders. 

  • Weekly team huddles to cross communicate progress and learning experiences  

  • Opportunity to acquire real life scheduling skills and enhance your knowledge and experience in an operations role within the construction industry.   

  • Flex your analytical aptitude, managing installation scheduling, problem solving, and continuous improvement.  

  • Build your product knowledge bank in timber, steel and glass in residential construction 

  • Escalate your supply and installation understanding, from production to installed stairs 

  • Broaden your construction plan interpretation skills with measurements / take offs for staircase needs  

  • Stay informed with Building Code requirements for all aspects of staircase engineering       

  • Be challenged, learn, teach, meet project deadlines working within an exciting team environment 

  • Continuous development and support from your team and manger to support your career growth. 

 

Value you will bring to the role:   

  • Looking to study (or currently studying) certificate lll in Business Administration. 

  • A positive can-do attitude, working together and always approach challenges with an open mind.  

  • Willingness and ability to learn – learn our systems and programs, training provided to up-skill.  

  • Strong time management skills, the ability to prioritise and move forward fast with flexibility.  

  • Problem solve and resolve issues - we approach problems with a continuous improvement mindset. 

  • Competent in Microsoft Office suite, advanced skills in MS excel spreadsheets 

  • Strong customer focus with an eye for detail – our customers are our lifeblood, exceed expectations! 

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, verbal and written  

  • Some training/knowledge in administration, project management or construction. 

  • A background in carpentry or joinery will be advantageous but not essential. 

To be eligible to understake a Traineeship you must be an Australian Citizen, who has not previously completed a qualification at certificate lll level or higher.
